Fundamental Forex Trading USD/CAD - How does Crude oil influence Forex Trading?
In Forex Trading, the correlation between USD/CAD is considered to be one of the heaviest dependents on crude oil prices..Typically if the Cride oil gets costlier, the Canadian Dollar gets stronger and vice-versa
Why is that? Any guesses..
If you said that it is because US is one of the biggest importars of crude oil from Canada, the you are right..:-)
That is not the only reason, but that was a big enough reason to influence the currency pair so much.
Thats why traditionally you would see that during winter as the gas prices jump, the canadian dollar gets stronger.
Knowing such fundamental trading information can help you understand how the market will behave. Remember its these fundamental forex trading information or fundamental announcements that drive the markets. They decide where the market on a larger level would move.
Big institutes or foreign investement banks do the fundamental analysis because they have all kind of latest political, financial data etc as well as a big team just to analyse this data.
Forex Traders like us use the technical analysis on such direction of the market to place the trades. Thats because technical analysis doesn't need such level of data analysis and doen't require big risk as fundamental analysis.
